The Sheffield Family Life Center Choir, Worship / Fine Arts Ministries
is directed by Pastor Nicole Hill. Although the Choir is composed of
vocally trained and untrained church members, it has been used by the
Lord to present the Love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The
choir represents all different walks of life and every kind of sin,
"You name it and we have someone who has been saved out of it,
standing next to someone who has grown up in the church all their
lives."
It is a highly unlikely ensemble, a mixture of ethnic and economic
backgrounds, in the heart of a city with coldness and decay. The choir
is made up of doctors and street people, nurses and ex-crack addicts.
None of us would have met if it weren't for Christ. Our backgrounds
are just too diverse. But all of us have one thing in common: we have
all been lifted up and saved. So the Choir sings—not about a degree of
Paper or position—but about what has happened to them. And the change
in us is CHRIST
We begin every practice with Worship and prayer that reinforces that
principle. Even the rehearsal prior to the Sunday services all begin
in prayer as the choir asks the Lord to bless their music and anoint
their songs for the service." Pastor George Westlake III has said on
many occasions the Music Ministry is a blessing to him and the members
here at Sheffield Family Life Center.
The Sheffield Family Life Center has ministered at Bartle Hall for
District Counsel, The Kansas City Music Hall, etc… I want to see
people encouraged and changed through song. Pastor Nicole Hill says
our goal is to always point people to Christ through Music.
